The Barefoot Contessa
It’s no secret that I’ve always loved Ina Garten. I bought my first cookbook, Barefoot in Paris, before I’d ever heard of her. I was interested in French cooking, and a book that promised easy recipes was something I could get excited about. The cookbook was full of pictures and simplified versions of French recipes.
As I started to cook my way through the book, I noticed that everything I made turned out beautifully. I then started watching the show and buying more cookbooks, and still every single recipe worked.
I really liked her style. She enjoys cooking for the people she loves, which is something I could relate to. For awhile now, I’ve been thinking of how it would be fun to cook my way through her books. So, I decided to start another blog at www.cookingwithina.com that is dedicated to making Barefoot Contessa recipes, and nothing else. Regardless of whether or not you like her, I hope you check it out. Every man in my family cannot stand her, but they all happily eat the dishes I make that come from her recipes.
